Manchester’s best known hangover cure is Chorlton Runners traditional sunday morning run around our beautiful waterpark. Please note this session is FREE and open to all abilities

We assemble next to the office in the waterpark carpark at 9:00am and then the group will en masse do a slow loop of the lake at a leisurely warmup pace. The waterpark offers a tremendous variety of routes along the river mersey or through the parkland and after the warmup is complete we will split into a number of smaller groups based on speed and ability. Distances offered differs greatly with the shortest route being a single mile for our run walkers all the way up to 22 mile training runs for our marathoners when they are at the peak of their training. In general a range of runs between 3-8 miles is the usual offering with a variety of paces from 13-7 minute mile pace.

We will often enjoy a coffee and the occasional cake post run after our warm down so although the session is always free you may wish to bring a pound or two so you can join in. If you want to come along its as simple as turn up on the morning, however if you want to ask a few questions beforehand you may want to join the discussion on our busy Facebook group which will offer an outline to the choices during that weeks session, or get in touch via the contacts page.

The first time I ran with CR I went twice as far as I’d been before on my own. The friendliest bunch of people you could wish to get up early for.
